It’s very easy and normal for us to use letters and writing to communicate. Everywhere we look, around us, we see letters and words printed on bottles, papers, T-shirts etc. Our visual field and our left half of the brain is overwhelmed by those informations. However there is around 20% of the population that are non-verbal visual thinker. That means that words and letters are elements of confusion for them.

Non-verbal communication can be, for example, based on picture. Different from the verbal one, it is international and faster to process. If I see the world “Apple”, I can decide not to read it or read it and not understand it because it is not in my vocabulary jet or not in a language I know. On the other hand if I see the drawing of an apple before to decide if I want to process the information my brain already associate it with image of apple we experienced before and the concept of apple it self.

This "No Words" is an installation that replaces the typical text Menu. Using the magnetic elements showing the different ingredients the restaurant can compose the different dishes. It becomes so easy to read that also children can understand it and you need no translation: pictures are universal.
